They address environmental concerns with state-of-the-art recycling facilities that include the world’s most advanced closed-loop aerosol recycling facility, an anaerobic digestion plant for turning food waste into biofertiliser and Energy from Waste facilities that divert non-recyclable waste away from landfill and turn it into electricity.
First Mile have been working with businesses on creative recycling solutions since 2004. Their smart solutions – such as a RecycleLab to research solutions for items that can’t easily be recycled and the RecycleBox scheme were customers send in items that can’t be recycled (or so they think) – ensures that First Mile send absolutely nothing at all to landfill. A tour of their Sacktory is a much-recommended eye-opener.
