Two years in the making, the Return To Earth collection is our founder’s way of addressing the climate crisis; inspired by a quote from environmentalist Arizona Muse, she wanted to make something that would never end up in landfill. How? Well, this tote, for example, is just as practical, spacious and dedicated to organisation as the rest of our line-up, but it’s crafted from natural leather that’s secured by innovative belt closures to leave it free from hardware - meaning it can eventually biodegrade and nourish the Earth at the end of its lifespan.

Order deadline for Christmas delivery: Sunday 8th December

The leather used in the Return to Nature collection uses a pioneering tanning and finishing method, developed with Nera Tanning and Richard Hoffmans (est. 1899), resulting in a product that is chrome, heavy-metal and aldehyde-free – and thus if desired, they are able to biodegrade at end of life. The skins are sourced from Scan-Hide Swedish farms with some of the highest standards of animal welfare.

Care: This specially tanned leather will age in its own unique way, and may react and darken over time. To keep it protected from rain spots and water marks, and to feed and enhance the leather, it needs a little more love than other bags: please use our Chambers Wax to protect the bag.

Extended Christmas returns policy 2024: Our extended Christmas returns period applies to orders placed between November 1st and 23rd December. Any purchases made online between these dates can be returned up until 17th January 2025. Please note this excludes all bespoke products.
